Accreditation Canada among the National Capital Region’s Top Employers for the third consecutive year
(Ottawa – February 7, 2012) Accreditation Canada has been recognized as a Top 25 Employer in the National Capital Region for the third consecutive year. This regional award is part of the Canada Top 100 Employers competition which involves assessing the recruitment histories of over 75,000 employers across Canada. Applicants completed an extensive application process that included a detailed review of their operations and Human Resources practices.
"As an organization that focuses on helping health organizations provide safe, high quality services, Accreditation Canada is committed to achieving the same level of quality we expect from our client organizations,” says Wendy Nicklin, President and CEO of Accreditation Canada. “This includes ensuring that the people who deliver services – from front-line staff to office staff – are valued and treated with respect. We believe that a healthy workforce is key to an organization’s success, including our own. We are proud to have such dynamic and engaged staff here at Accreditation Canada — they are what make us a Top 25 Employer.”
Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial, and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
