    How can you create and maintain a safety culture?


    Available on CD-Rom, this 90-minute webinar presented by Dr. Graham Lowe explores the foundational elements that enable a safety culture to thrive and survive in health care organizations. In his presentation, Dr. Lowe discusses the results of his research on The Role of Healthcare Work Environments in Shaping a Safety Culture he conducted in Alberta. Two guest speakers, who were involved in the study, also share their experience and help shed some light on the practical implications of Dr. Lowe’s findings.

    About the presenter
    Dr. Lowe is a leading expert on work and healthy workplaces. He’s president of The Graham Lowe Group Inc and a professor emeritus at the University of Alberta, where he had a distinguished academic career. He’s also a research associate at Canadian Policy Research Networks. His numerous publications include The Quality of Work: A People-Centered Agenda (Oxford University Press), and more recently, an article entitled in Healthcare Quarterly (June issue). He has extensive consulting experience and has given hundreds of talks and workshops on creating higher quality and more productive workplaces. He received the 2004 Canadian Workplace Wellness Pioneer Award. Graham has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Toronto.
