Accreditation Canada's Leadership Standards help health service organizations meet the growing demand for excellence. They are based on research and best practice, and address the resources and macro-processes that must be put in place by the organization's leaders to enhance and facilitate the work of staff and service providers, maintain quality and safety, and improve the organization's overall performance.
These standards emphasize the need for the organization to have a clear purpose, goals and expectations; maintain positive relationships; and foster a positive workplace culture. The approach taken to meet these standards will vary according to the organization's size, structure, and mandate.
