Orientation

3 days which includes a 1-day site-visit at a local health organization

Review documentation prior to orientation. During orientation some preparation will be required in the evenings.

Travel time to the location

Actual expenses are reimbursed to a maximum of $169 for hotel accommodations and $75 for meals.
(Lunch and light breakfast provided at sessions.)
Travel: Economy airfare; first class train; taxis; mileage at $0.5 per km.
Receipts must accompany expense claims.
No other professional fees or allowances available.

Internship

All new surveyors will participate in 1 survey in which they have an opportunity to develop their surveying skills while actively participating in survey activities. 

Surveys may vary in length from 3 to 6 days.

Review documentation prior to survey. During survey some preparation may be required in the evenings.

Travel time to the location

Actual expenses are reimbursed to a maximum of $169 for hotel accommodations and $75 for meals.

Travel:
Economy airfare*; first class train; taxis; mileage at $0.5 per km.
*Business class for air travel beyond 3 hours and compact or intermediate car rental.

Receipts must accompany expense claims.

Professional fees: For team leader or solo surveyor – $297 per day or $148 per half day.
For team members – $207 per day or $104 per half day.
Physician office overhead allowance: Physicians required to be away from private practice are provided coverage at $467 per day or $232 per half day including travel days to defray office expenses. This only applies to days when their office would have to be open.
